Hi

I've wanted a tortoise for a really long time, never realised how much care they requires til I researched them! I just don't know where to buy one from, I live in Cardiff. I have been looking at Tortoiseshop.com and was wondering if anyone could recommend them? The information they provide on care seems to be pretty consistent with what I've seen on here advising a table, two lamps and what food/substrates to use. I was interested in the Tunisian spurred as the thought of hibernation would just make me worry constantly until it was over :). I'd appreciate any advice thank you.

Personally I would only buy from a UK tortoise breeder. I never like the idea of a tortoise being delivered by a post van, it just does not sit right, plus you don't know how they are being kept?
Tunisians are lovely, not sure what breeders would have them, but maybe this post will evoke a response.

Hi Thank you, you are right I would prefer to go see them first and pick mine own. Hadn't properly considered the delivery! If anyone knows of any breeders, I would be very grateful!! Thank you :)

Best to steer clear of anyone who imports tortoises or posts them out. The TortoiseShop do both
