Hopng someone can give me some advice, i have purchased a Hagen Exo Terra Solar Glo UV 125w mercury bulb. I have been looking at ceramic lamp fittings for this and wondered which one is best to get. (ive heard the bulb gets really hot and can over heat in some lamp fittings) Im not unsure if i should get the the Exo terra porcelain clamp lamp for up to 150w or an arcadia ceramic reflector clamp lamp for max 160W. Would these be suitable or is there another ceramic fitting and bulb that would be recomended? Also how long do these bulbs last for?

Darren who runs the site is really helpful.
The combination bulbs last roughly for 1yr to 18months, you can buy uv meters that will measure how much output of uv the bulb is making, as it is hard to put an exact time scale
