Hiya all our tort Riversong is desplaying some odd behaviou. she is actively seeking the UVB light and will climb to get to it she has a basking lamp and is normally found unde this i have tried moving thisngs around as we have had her fro two wks as a rehomed tort the nex indoor house will be here soon but im not sure on why she heading for the light is the nosrmal or not

I am taking a wild guess that it is the colour, that riverside is going for.  The UV  bulbs are  white and torts are very atracted to white, I think it is because they think it looks like it is a way out. Can you move it up a bit further, or make a depression i the substrate so it goes down lower

Its a flurencent one good old pet shop said it was the one i needed, as my son says that helps her shell get stronger dear of him. She seems ok now has mental half hour of non stop climbing looks likes she is almost running however she is a delight xxx many thanks Jane xx

hi its between 25-30 C where she goes to sleep is cooler and the other end is hotter. i know she is not as active due to time of yr but she does love a good wonder aroudn the house dear of her.
