I have horsefield tortoises can I use vermiculite as bedding ?????

Horsfields like to dig down. The best substarte you can offer your tort is topsoil & Playsand. Make it quite deep for him to burrow down in. I had never heard of vericulite but had a look, small enough for the torts to eat and could get impaction, best always stick with what is natural for them>
