Hi silly question I was just wondering whether horsefield tortoises grow new scales on their legs because I have a one who is almost 3 and he looks like he has lost some and I can't find any trace that this has happened.

Does the area look sore? I have not heard that torts loose their scales, maybe someone else can help, sorry!

The area looks ok not sore you can just see his skin and small scales so maybe he is just growing and getting new ones I just wasn't sure whether this happened but thank you for answering my post.
