We respect your privacy and value the trust you place in us when you share your personal information with us. This policy sets out how we collect, process and use your personal information, the rights to which you may be entitled and your choices about our use of your personal information.

This policy covers our use of your personal information arising from use of our website as well as registering on our forum, registering on our rehoming register, registering your information with us if you have a tortoise to rehome and purchasing calendars from us. Data Collection and Usage

We collect your personal data in various ways, the below specifically outlines what information we have collected and how we use it:-

a) Rehoming Register
   
If you have registered to rehome a tortoise we will hold your name, address, telephone
    number, email address, details of any tortoises you keep and potentiallyphotos of your
    set-ups. We will not keep anyinformation any longer than either you or we deem
    necessary.
    This information is held by our rehoming section and may be held either digitally or in
    paper format. None of this information is shared with any external source unless we first
    gain your permission to do so. This will inevitably be for the keepers of a tortoise you 
    may potentially rehome.
    If you no longer wish us to hold thisinformation, please email:
    rehomingdata@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk confirming your name, location and
    email address requesting we delete all your personal information which we are able to do
    unless you have rehomed a tortoise through theTortoise Protection Group and we have  
    retained ownership of a tortoise/tortoises; in which case we will obviously need to retain
    contact information for you whilst any tortoise owned by the Tortoise Protection Group
    is in your care.

b) Registered to rehome your tortoise(s)
    
If you have registered your details with us to enable us to rehome a tortoise for you we  
     will hold your name address, telephone number, email address and details of your
     tortoise(s) you wish to rehome and may also hold photos relating to any tortoise that is
     to be rehomed. We will not keep anyinformation any longer than either you or we deem
     necessary.
     This information is held by our rehoming section and may be held either electronically
     on paper format. None of this information is shared with any external source unless we
     first gain your permission to do so.This will inevitably be contact details for a potential
     new home for your tortoise(s).
     If you no longer wish us to hold this information, please email:
     rehomingdata@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk confirming your name, location and
     email address advising us to delete all your personal information and we will happily do
     so.

c) Calendar Sales
    If you have previously purchasedan annual calendar from the Tortoise Protection Group,
    in the past we will hold your email addressand possibly your full name. We will not
    keep any information any longer thaneither you or we deem necessary.
    This information is held by our calendar sales section and is held electronically. The
    information is used by us to advise you when our annual calendar is launched.
    None of this information is sharedwith any external source and it will not be used for
    any other reason than related to the sale of calendars.
    If you no longer wish us to hold thisinformation, please email:
    calendardata@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk confirming your name and email address
    advising us to delete all your personal information and we will happily do so.

d) Website Forum Registration

3 - Your rights

You have a right to request a copy of any information we hold about you
You have a right to insist that all personal data regarding you is deleted (please see above on how to do so).
We will never share your personal information with any third parties unless we receive have specific authority from you to do so.
