i dont know if anyone can help me now but my giant tortoise has been digging all day and has only layed one egg, she usually lays up to 20, she is still sitting over the hole she has dug and is obviously not very happy, i cannot leave her outside all night and wondered if it is safe to move her, i have put a heat lamp over her at the moment but cannot leave it like this all night

Hi, no if its not safe to leave outside all night (I dont leave mine out), you will have to bring her inside and put her back out tomorrow.  Remove the egg already laid, and in the morning pour boiling water over the nest site to warm the ground up for her, so that she can start where she left off!!
