Please check these out Ive been told its a male hermann's by a very good garden centre but I just want to clarify as the vet referred to it as she, altho she then said she didnt know... also need to know how bad its pyramiding is

Looks like a male Hermanns to me. There should be a horn.spike on the end of the tail?

Hi Charlotte, here is a link that shows how to sex a hermanns tort, he does look male by the size of his tail, we just need to know or see a clear picture of the end of the tail to see if it has a spike, this will determine if he is a Hermanns.

thanks for that, i think ive seen something similar to that comparison before but couldnt find it when i looked again! i will take some more pics tomorrow as i dont wanna keep waking him up!

ive added another pic unfortunately its not as big as it is on my comp but you can see the tip of the tail, up close it looks different to the rest of the tail kind of smoother?
