5 Year Old Female Hermanns N. Yorks
Posted: 25/07/2009 by TPGDarren

We have been asked to find a special home for Tilly a 5 year old female Hermanns. Tilly’s current keeper has had Tilly for 5 weeks after her previous keeper found she was no longer in a position to care for her. Tilly’s article 10 shows she was imported from Czechslovakia in 2004 and there is evidence that she has grown too quickly and was apparently never given the freedom to roam outside until her temporary home took her on 5 weeks ago. Tilly is looking for a knowledgeable caring life-long home. Tilly is currently staying in North Yorkshire: Postcode YO8.
If you would like to offer Tilly a new home, please contact the rehoming team at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Tilly - Hermanns - N.Yorks". Please do not apply through this forum. The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email. If you experience any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply. Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that if you are successful in your application, you will consider adonation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have
rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however occasionally this has occured, therefore as a non profitable group we rely on your generosity to help our cause.

Darren,

I would like to express an interest in this tortoise, I have a large garden and the tortoises now have over half of it! North Yorks is easy from Glasgow so I can uplift.

I will post new photos of the set up as it has been totally revamped from those you have on file.

Hi Jean,

Thank You for showing an interest in the tortoises we have for rehoming. We are at the final stage of drawing up a short-list to discuss with the current keepers. We don't actually have any issues with regards to collecting at tortoises at the moment. We try where we can to rehome direct from the person who is giving up a tortoise. This gives them an opportunity to meet with the new keepers and we also encourage people to speak on the phone first. There are times when we have to relocate tortoises quickly and we have a list of people who are willing to help out with this. I will definitely add your name to the list - your offer of help is greatly appreciated.

Kindest REgards
Darren
