I live in the Calvia region of Mallorca where tortoises are indigenous. I have a wild tortoises living in my garden, how awesome is that! They come and go as they please, and it's lovely to see them basking in the morning sunshine.

Hi Tracey
Our very good fortune that you joined the site!!  You can do your own field research in your own back garden!!
It would be really lovely if you could give us reports on the behaviour e.g temps when most active, times for feeding and where they go to sleep. Do you have any experiences of owning a tortoise yourself?
Thanks for the photo's
Jane

Wow, how lovely, wild tortoises in your garden!
I second the request for reports: would be very interesting.

Hi I regularly go to Majorca and especially the Calvia area, mostly Palma Nova/Magaluf, Ive hunted around for wild tortes in that area lots of times and never saw one yet, there is alot of waste land at the back of Magaluf that Ive had alook around for hours and always been disappointed, I'm back over there next week for 3 nights and hoping to have another look. Maybe this time eh
